The Troupple King

I've never actually played shovel knight, but my brother is a big fan so I created this image for him for Christmas one year. I also used this piece to experiment with some new photoshop brushes I had discovered. It was tricky trying to take characters that appeared as pixels on a 2d plane and make them look three dimensional. Plus I really wanted to give it the perspective that you were looking up at this giant creature so that complicated things as well. I stuck pretty closely to the color palate of the game so that if nothing else the characters would be recognizable from that aspect alone.
